Debra A. Shelton passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 16 with her husband, Bob, by her side after a lengthy illness.
She was 58 years old. She was the daughter of the late George "Fred" Shelton and Madeline (Cetrone) Shelton.
Debra was born on October 18, 1958 in Cambridge and was raised in Newton.
She graduated from Newton North High School in 1976 and went on to graduate from Aquinas Jr College in 1979.
Debra had an entrepreneurial spirit and started many businesses over the years. She was a woman full of grace.
She loved to cook, attend ballet and other artistic performances, and various crafting projects.
She was a person that always had new creative ideas. She lived her life to the fullest and despite the obstacles she faced she always remained full of hope.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Davis, of Brighton, sister Dawn Shelton Sayre, of Oak Bluffs, and nephew and niece, Jack and Julia Sayre.
Debra was predeceased by her brother George Shelton.
Friends and family will gather in her memory in the Magni Funeral Home, Newton on Wed. June 28 from 4-8pm.
The next day, a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St. Newton.
