Bernice Beatrice (Piccirillo) Antonellis, 92 years of age, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife for 65 devoted years to Anthony Joseph Antonellis Sr. (predeceased 2013) and daughter of the late Antonio and Geni (Giannini) Piccirillo. Sister to predeceased George Piccirillo and survived by her sister Phyllis Antonellis and brothers Vito, Joseph, and Paul Piccirillo.  Survived by in-laws Pat and Jeanne Antonellis, Pacific Grove, CA, and Gerry and Concetta Boyce of Auburndale. Bernice is survived by her loving children Marilyn and Robert Gibson of Amherst, N.H., Peter and Susan Antonellis of Harwich, Anthony Antonellis Jr. of Newton, Theresa Antonellis of Newton, Matthew and Carla Antonellis of Seattle, WA., Paul and Catherine Antonellis of Mansfield, Elizabeth Antonellis of Amherst, James and Tiffany Antonellis of Groton, Patricia and David Arcese of Attleboro and 25 adoring grandchildren and 22 beautiful great grandchildren. Bernice was a lifelong resident of Newton, graduated Newton North High School in 1942, and was a member of the Class of 42 Reunion Committee. In 1946, she received a certificate of acknowledgement from the National American Red Cross for her volunteerism during WWII. December 28th, 1946 Bernice was married Anthony J Antonellis, and was a devoted mother and homemaker for their nine children. Bernice and Anthony traveled to Italy in 2000, where they met and reunited with relatives. Bernice will be remembered for her love of family, pride of community, and deep commitment to the Catholic Church.  She celebrated all the sacraments of her Catholic faith at Our Lady’s Help Christians Parish in Newton. She was a member of the Auburndale Women’s Club for many years, and served as President of the Auburndale Chapter for years 1989 through 1990.  She volunteered for many years serving as “Lunch Mother” at Williams Elementary School in Auburndale and likewise for the Boy Scouts Troop 315 and Auburndale Cub Scouts. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bernice’s name to Ministers of Care Our Lady’s Help of Christian Parish, Newton.
